Give the Gift of a Brighter Midtown This Holiday Season

October 9th, 2026

Support Midtown Parks to help welcome Fremont Park Bloom back and complete Paragary Pathway in 2027.

The holiday season is a time to celebrate the people, places and experiences that bring our community together. This year, Midtown Parks is inviting Sacramento residents, businesses and visitors to make a lasting impact through two special projects that will help make Midtown an even more welcoming and vibrant place in 2027.

From illuminating a pathway honoring one of Midtown’s most influential community members to bringing a colorful celebration of spring back to Fremont Park, there are plenty of ways to make a difference this giving season. Whether you’re looking for a festive night out, a meaningful way to honor someone special or an opportunity to leave your mark on Midtown, your support can help bring these experiences to life.

Help Fremont Park Bloom Again in 2027

Fremont Park Bloom brought a special sense of wonder to Midtown in 2026, transforming Fremont Park through a seasonal lighting installation of 9-ft tall illuminated sculptures inspired by California’s iconic poppy blooms.

Created through the efforts of Women in Placemaking, the installation celebrated creativity, community and the beauty of shared public spaces. Following its successful debut, Midtown Parks is inviting the community to help bring Fremont Park Bloom back in 2027.

Make a Donation and Be Part of the Bloom

With giving opportunities ranging from $25 to $1.5K, individuals and businesses can help Fremont Park Bloom return while receiving special recognition throughout the installation.

Depending on the giving opportunity selected, supporters can have their names, dedications or business logos featured on-site. It’s a meaningful way to celebrate someone special, recognize a local business or simply show your love for Midtown.

Help the Bloom Grow Through Sponsorship

Businesses and community partners can make an even greater impact through Fremont Park Bloom sponsorship opportunities ranging from $2.5K to $10K.

These sponsorships offer additional opportunities for formal recognition while helping make the installation possible for the community to enjoy.

Sponsorship opportunities are available through March 31, 2027.

Help Illuminate the Legacy of Randy Paragary

Randy Paragary’s influence on Midtown can be seen in the restaurants, gathering places and neighborhood destinations he helped create. As a founding member of Midtown Association and a pioneer in Sacramento’s hospitality industry, Randy helped shape Midtown into the vibrant community it is today.

Paragary Pathway will celebrate that legacy through an ambient tree-lighting installation along 28th Street and a portion of 29th Street in the Midtown Sutter District. Expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2027, the project will create a welcoming public space while honoring Randy’s lasting contributions to the neighborhood.

There are multiple ways to help bring the Pathway’s lights to life this holiday season.

Get Festive at Merry & Bright

Get into the holiday spirit while supporting a brighter future for Midtown! Join Midtown Parks on Wednesday, December 2, from 5–7 p.m. at Café Bernardo on Capitol Avenue for Merry & Bright, a festive gathering featured as part of the annual 12 Days of Midtown celebration. Designed as a welcoming introduction for longtime supporters and those learning about the project for the first time, the evening will bring together the spirit of the holidays and the sense of community Randy Paragary helped cultivate throughout Midtown.

For $65, guests can enjoy live music, food, drinks, and a signature cocktail that comes in a commemorative lightbulb sipper to take home. It’s a chance to celebrate the season, learn more about the project and contribute to a lasting tribute to Randy Paragary.

Leave Your Mark Through Adopt-a-Tree

Looking for a lasting way to support the project? The Paragary Pathway Adopt-a-Tree program invites individuals and businesses to sponsor a tree along the illuminated corridor.

With sponsorship opportunities ranging from $1K to $1K, supporters can help bring the lighting installation to life while receiving recognition along the Pathway. It’s a meaningful opportunity to celebrate Randy’s legacy while contributing to a public space that the community can enjoy.

I love being an instructor for Fresh Air: Midtown Parks. It has been beautiful to connect with the community and neighbors through wellness in nature. Midtown Parks offers these classes for free, providing accessibility to anyone seeking a healthier lifestyle or seeking connection in the Midtown community. – Kirsten Johnson, President, Yoga Moves Us

How Your Contributions Have Supported Our Parks

Over the years, generous donations have directly supported signature Midtown Parks events that foster connection, creativity, and joy in our neighborhood parks. Thanks to community support, we’ve been able to bring these additional projects to life:

These enhancements and programs wouldn’t be possible without your generous support. Your donation ensures we can continue building a Midtown that’s inclusive, activated, and accessible for all.

To be able to see artwork that my team and I helped to create on a basketball court I used to play on feels surreal. The designs pay homage to the past, present and future of Chicano art and culture and incorporate local landmarks. I am very appreciative of the opportunity from Midtown Association in trusting my team’s vision and supporting art that celebrates the culture of the surrounding neighborhood. – Manuel Fernando Rios, Mural Artist, Muir Park Murals
