Midtown Second Saturday Resources

Local galleries, venues, artists, and small businesses are invited to take part in Midtown Second Saturday!

Second Saturday is a monthly Sacramento tradition that highlights the bounty of arts and expression that exist throughout Sacramento. In the months of May – October, Midtown Association creates special programming and resources for our local galleries, venues, artists, and small businesses that are interested in taking advantage of Midtown Second Saturday and the influx of visitors that we see during this season. For 2026, there are a variety of opportunities and resources available through Midtown Association including promotional support and stipends for Midtown-based businesses to book artists or musicians in their space on Second Saturdays. Learn more below in the FAQ section of this page.

Calling All Artists!

Midtown Second Saturday comes with market and booking opportunities. If you are interested in participating and would like to be considered for participation in 2026, fill out our Artist Interest Form here.

FAQ

I am a business, venue, or event organizer in Midtown that is looking for more information or support to host my own Second Saturday programming – how can I get more info?

There are multiple ways that Midtown Association can support Midtown-based businesses in their planning efforts for programming on Second Saturday including:

  • You can join a monthly engagement meeting to learn more about programming or promotional support during the Midtown Second Saturday season. To learn more and RSVP for those meetings, visit the Engagement Meeting RSVP form here.
  • Midtown Association can help facilitate artist or musician booking in your space. Each month, Midtown Association will also provide business stipends of up to $150 per artist or musician booking on Second Saturdays*. Businesses can express interest by filling out a Business Activation Sign Up Form here.
  • If you already have programming or a special offering planned, you can have those details featured on the Midtown Second Saturday calendar when you submit an event on Sacramento 365 and have the “2nd Saturday” category selected. When promoting the event on Instagram, you can tag @ExploreMidtown to be featured through an in-feed or story post.
  • For more details on all of the above, check out our business toolkit here.
* Monthly financial support is limited. Requests will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis, with priority given to businesses that attend the monthly engagement meeting and restaurants located in the Midtown Sutter and Midtown Central business improvement districts (BID). Additional support is available via the increased event support services provided to BID restaurants.
