The 34th annual Chalk It Up! Chalk Art and Music Festival is Labor Day Weekend!

Live local music! Local makers, and craft vendors!  Local food booths!  "Drink local" in the 21 and Over beverage tent.  And artists creating beautiful chalk art murals on the sidewalk all weekend!

Chalk It Up was first established in 1991 through the hard work of local artists and community art supporters. Now in its 34th year, the Chalk It Up! Chalk Art and Music Festival is a celebration of our region’s arts and artists.  Over the 3-day festival hundreds of artists, musicians, local craft and food vendors, and volunteers, with the financial support of donors and sponsors, join hands to provide this fun festival,  promoting community pride, civic participation, and social connection.

Celebrate Sacramento’s vibrant arts community at Sutter Health’s Midtown Second Saturday, an all-day arts celebration featuring local artists, live music, nightlife, culinary arts, and gallery exhibitions, making it an arts destination like no other. From block parties to curated art walks to gallery shows, immerse yourself in the fun from May – October with a variety of activities for all ages and interests.

Explore curated art walk itineraries on Second Saturday to enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience to enjoy art galleries, art performances, live music, and more! Each month’s art walk will be designed to lead you on a path to special programming at participating local restaurants, bars, galleries, studios, and multi-family properties. The art walk programming will take place between 2-8 p.m. every Second Saturday to allow you to explore the tour at your own pace and linger to enjoy food, drinks, and the arts!
