A Motown Celebration with Chester Gregory is a musical tribute featuring some of Motown's greatest hits by legendary artists such as The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Jackie Wilson, and many others. Singer and Broadway extraordinaire, Chester Gregory, will perform some of Motown's greatest hits and also share his personal experiences meeting some of Motown legends in person. Motown Records was founded by Berry Gordy, Jr., in 1959 and quickly became a major force in the music world. The record label was instrumental in breaking down racial barriers in the music industry and bringing black artists to the forefront of mainstream popular music.

On June 9th, Matt Stone and The Graceland Band are coming to rock Sacramento in a massive celebration of the King of Rock ’n’ Roll! Named by Graceland and the Elvis Presley Estate as one of the Top Elvis Tribute Artists on the planet, Matt Stone is seen by many as performing one of the most authentic Elvis concerts in the world!

Innovations is a remarkable bill of in-demand works including Val Caniparoli’s Ibsen’s House ballet that weaves a story around five female characters extracted from Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen’s plays and a world premiere from Louisville Ballet’s resident choreographer Andrea Schermoly who is known for innovative reimagining of classic works including Martha Graham’s Appalachian Spring and her new twist on Romeo & Juliet for Royal New Zealand Ballet. SacBallet continues its time honored connection with the George Balanchine Trust and will present a special surprise work to be announced.

Join us for the much-anticipated return of Midtown Mini Midtown Love, our garden party-themed extravaganza, on Saturday, May 11th, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This reimagined event celebrates the launch of Second Saturday with an evening of local food and drinks, live performances, art experiences, networking opportunities, and more. Funds raised during the event and from ticket sales and sponsorships benefit Midtown’s vibrant small business and arts community and future Second Saturday programming.
