Wednesdays at Winn, presented by Midtown Parks and Sutter Health, is a new year-round certified farmers’ market each Wednesday at Winn Park. The market launched on August 19th and operates from 3 pm to 7:30 pm from March until November when hours roll back to 3 pm to 7 pm through the end of February. The market features open air booths offering organic produce, flowers and farmers market grocery items, as well as prepared food and food trucks. The market accepts EBT, enabling CalFresh recipients to buy fresh, healthy, local produce.
Winn Park is located on the corner of P and 28th streets in the Sutter District near the Sacramento Natural Foods Coop. Parking is available in nearby garages, bike parking is available on site (please bring a bike lock), and attendees are invited to take the Sacramento Regional Transit light rail and exit at the 29th street stop. For more information on ways to get into and around Midtown, please visit www.easeintomidtown.com. The market operates year-round except for weather interruptions for strong winds projected at 15 mph or greater or an 80 percent chance of rain. The market closes annually between Christmas and New Year’s Day and is planned to be closed on Wednesday, December 30th.
Special to this market, the Winn Table is available by reservation only. This low slung picnic table can accommodate up to 10 individuals sitting on provided rugs, cushions and ground chairs for BYO picnics during Wednesdays at Winn. To reserve the table, click here and make a $50 donation which will be given to ReSoil Sacramento. The table will be set up and sanitized for your group’s use only. Area nonprofits may request a donation of a reservation at the table with a catered picnic from an area Sutter District restaurant to use for their fundraising purposes. This is valued at $250+.

To help keep everyone safe at Wednesdays at Winn, we are taking additional precautions in light of COVID-19. Much like a grocery store, Wednesdays at Winn plays a critical role in the community to maintain food access to shoppers of all income levels, and it is important to support our local farmers, growers, and vendors at this time. To help keep everyone safe, Wednesdays at Winn has put the following preventative measures in place, including:
If you plan to attend Wednesdays at Winn, please practice social distancing, wear a face covering, wash your hands with soap and water, and cover your cough. If you are sick, please stay home.
Local artist Brandon Gastinell will be designing creative artwork that will be placed on the park’s electrical boxes and will saturate the scene with modern pop culture and bright, bold colors, and contrast. A Sacramento native, 2020 marked the first year that Brandon participated in the annual Wide Open Walls mural festival.
