Midtown’s Halloween Festival & Pooch Parade Returns on October 31!

Calling all costumed canines (and their humans)! One of Midtown’s most beloved fall traditions returns this Halloween as the Midtown Halloween Festival & Pooch Parade takes over James Marshall Park on Saturday, October 31, 2026 from 12 to 3 p.m.
Hosted by Midtown Parks and Midtown Sutter restaurants, this free community celebration brings together two things that help make the neighborhood special: lively local businesses and welcoming public spaces. Marshall Park sits at the heart of Midtown Sutter, creating the perfect setting for neighbors, families, friends, and four-legged companions to gather for an afternoon of Halloween fun.
Of course, the pups are the stars of the show. Dogs are invited to dress in their spookiest, cutest or silliest costumes and strut their stuff during the much-anticipated Pooch Parade in front of an enthusiastic crowd and judges. Guests can also mingle with animal-focused vendors and fellow dog lovers throughout the afternoon.
The fun does not have to end when the parade is over. Guests are encouraged to explore the restaurants, bars, and gathering places throughout Midtown Sutter, including many located just steps from the park. It is all part of an event that showcases how Midtown’s parks and surrounding businesses can work together to create memorable experiences and strengthen community connections.
The Halloween Festival & Pooch Parade is free, but spots and judging categories can fill quickly, so register early to make sure your pup is ready for their moment in the spotlight!
