Established as one of the prime contemporary interpreters of the Great American Songbook, Pizzarelli has expanded that repertoire by including the music of Paul McCartney, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Tom Waits, Antônio Carlos Jobim, and The Beatles. His themed shows, often performed with his wife Jessica Molaskey, suggest there is no limit to Pizzarelli’s imagination or talent.

Geoff is regarded as one of the most skilled vocalists in the genre with hundreds of modern, popular artists citing him and his band as a major influence. Combining social consciousness and expertly crafted lyrics with high-energy, melodically complex music, Geoff and his band have become internationally recognized as the thinking man's rock band. The band's first three albums -- their self-titled EP (1983), The Warning (1984) and Rage for Order (1986) -- all hit gold status selling over 500,000 units each. With the release of their landmark concept album Operation: Mindcrime (1988) -- which won critical and popular acclaim and comparisons to the Who's Tommy and Pink Floyd's The Wall -- Queensrÿche went on to bring their progressive music to sold-out audiences the world over.

The EP also featured a remix track with electronic producer, XXYYXX. Their debut album SALES LP was self-released in April 2016 and it featured the singles “big sis”, “ivy”, and “jamz”.  Their highly anticipated second LP will be self-released in July 2018 and it features the singles “talk a lot” and “off and on”.

No Vacation began in early 2015 and quickly received attention for the nostalgic bedroom-pop sounds off of their debut mixtape, Amo XO, and surf-rock single, Dræm Girl. Stories on Stage Sacramento is thrilled to present two extraordinary writers at its August event: Tommy Orange and Vanessa Hua. Tommy Orange's debut novel, There There, a polyphonic telling of the lives of twelve urban Native American characters on one fateful day, was published in June and is a New York Times bestseller, and has garnered  superlatives from The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Washington Post, Kirkus Reviews, and many, many others: it's an Amazon Best Book of the Year: Entertainment Weekly calls it "the year's most galvanizing debut novel."  Tommy Orange grew up in Oakland and lives in Angels Camp. Vanessa Hua’s powerful debut novel, A River of Stars, will be published August 14, but it’s already gathering honors: the online literary site The Millions named it one of their most anticipated books of 2018, and it was selected by August LibraryReads as a Top 10 new release. A modern story of motherhood, immigration, and identity, A River of Stars follows a pregnant Chinese woman as she makes her way to California and a stake in the American dream. Vanessa Hua is a columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle.

Selected excerpts from both novels will be read by actors. Copies of both books will be for sale, and both authors will be present to sign your copy.

The Toronto Star pegged him as “the genial genius of the guitar,” and the Seattle Times saluted him as “a rare entertainer of the old school.”
