Manuel Fernando Rios is an artist, curator, and professor of fine art at Woodland Community College. He is known for his exploration of themes related to identity, culture, and community, often drawing from his experiences and the legacy of Chicano art. Rios’ work seeks to engage and inspire others through the lens of cultural representation and social advocacy, reflecting a deep commitment to honoring and amplifying diverse voices in the art world. Born in San Jose California, Rios’ family eventually settled in Hollister in 1987. He holds a BA and MA in Studio Art from California State University, Sacramento, and an MFA from UC Davis.
