A Dessert for Every Sweet Tooth at Midtown Sacramento’s “Sweet Spot”

Psst…want to know our favorite places for delicious desserts? It’s no secret that the 2400 block of J Street has emerged as a real “Sweet Spot” for sugary treats in Midtown. Dreamy and delicious ice cream and doughnuts (some plant based), rich european style chocolates and pastries, iconic cupcakes, and the best dessert shop for 34 years running are all on one block in Midtown. An easy stroll in the heart of Midtown – along with a parking protected bike lane in front to encourage cyclists – tempting treats available at these five shops are sure to satisfy every sweet tooth.

In recent years, AAPI-owned businesses have disproportionately felt the impacts of the pandemic due to closures, lack of access to government aid, language barriers, and the devastating massive spike in the number of anti-Asian hate incidents nationwide. Our AAPI businesses in Midtown are part of our vibrant and diverse community, not to mention the delicious food and amazing service you will find each time you #ShopAAPI.
