Midtown Sacramento is buzzing with excitement as two beloved community events make their return: Midtown Second Saturday and Midtown Love (formerly known as Midtown Mini Midtown Love). These vibrant celebrations highlight the heart of our neighborhood—our incredible small businesses, local artists, and creative community.
Running from May through October, Midtown Second Saturday is a beloved summer tradition that transforms Midtown Sacramento into a vibrant celebration of local art, music, food, and culture. Each second Saturday of the month, Midtown comes alive with art activations at the Midtown Farmers Market, live performances, pop-up art installments, gallery and theatre shows, and curated art walks that spotlight the creative energy flowing through our city.
New in 2025, Midtown Second Saturday will offer an even more immersive experience with monthly themes and large-scale signature events, bringing something fresh and inspiring to every celebration. From gallery shows to public art, live music, and culinary delights, each Art Walk invites the community to follow a curated itinerary that connects local businesses, artists, and performers across Midtown.
Expanding the experience, The Sunday Following encourages guests to keep the party going all weekend long with exclusive hotel discounts, plus laid-back Sunday programming featuring brunch specials, live music, interactive art, and pop-up galleries in the Midtown Sutter district. And for an extra dose of inspiration, don’t miss the Urban Dreams Art Experience, transforming Midtown into a dynamic, open-air gallery this August and September with more than a dozen large-scale installations—ranging from 6 to 30 feet tall—inspired by Burning Man and placed in iconic, unexpected locations across the district.

Kicking off the 2025 season of Sutter Health’s Midtown Second Saturday, the Midtown Love Celebration returns on Saturday, May 10 from 6 – 9 p.m., transforming the stunning Mansion Apartments into a lush, art-filled oasis. This grand soirée honors Sacramento’s vibrant creative community while celebrating a milestone, the 40th “Ruby” Anniversary of the Midtown Association. More than just a party, Midtown Love also serves as our annual fundraiser; all proceeds directly support the continuation and growth of Midtown Second Saturday programming, as well as services that benefit Midtown’s small businesses and beloved neighborhood parks.
Building on the success of 2024’s reimagined event, which showcased over 40 local artists, this year’s celebration will once again spotlight regional talent with immersive live performances, interactive art experiences, and spectacular fire dancing displays, and will also feature a vibrant preview of the Urban Dreams Art Experience happening this August and September.
Culinary experiences include an art-inspired spread by Lulu’s Kitchen, which will feature bites from Black Hat Catering Co., Patty Eats, Popcorn Baby, Flor Bloom, and Maria’s Paella, and an oyster shooter and sake pairing provided by Omakase Por Favor. Local wines will be poured by Acheson Wine Company, while beer lovers can enjoy selections from Boston Beer Company.
