Through Midtown Association’s Street Banner Program, 37 ornamental poles are available for rent along the J Street Corridor between 20th and 27th Streets. Ornamental poles allow for banners that are 24″ in width and 35″ in length. The banner size and placement allows for high visibility by pedestrian and vehicle traffic alike.
The applicant is also responsible for coordination and cost of the fabrication, installation, removal, and storage of banners with pre-approved fabrication and installation companies.
Street banners are hung for either a 30 or 60 day period. Dates are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Banner application should be submitted to Midtown Association at least 90 days prior to the desired installation date.
First time banner applicants are encouraged to call the Placemaking Manager at (916) 442-1500 before applying to ensure a thorough understanding of the process.
